Description
Midwinter Warmth is a cosy winter tour that combines a gentle ride on Icelandic horses with relaxation in warm geothermal waters. The experience begins with an easy one-hour horse ride through the winter landscape around the Eldhestar farm, offering a calm and enjoyable introduction to riding in the colder months.
After the ride, guests can warm up in the comfortably heated outdoor pools at the swimming pool in Hveragerði, where there is also a steam sauna for those who wish. Soaking in the warm water provides a perfect contrast to the crisp winter air.
The tour concludes with a light lunch at Hotel Eldhestar before returning to Reykjavík. This tour is suitable for all levels of riding experience. During booking, guests are asked about their riding background so that suitable horses can be selected for everyone. Riders of different experience levels ride together, and whenever possible, the smooth tölt of the Icelandic horse is enjoyed. For safety reasons, galloping is not part of this tour.
