Description

Geothermal bathing at Krauma: Krauma Nature Baths are located next to Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, where water emerges at a temperature of 100°C (212°F). By blending this hot geothermal water with cold glacial water, Krauma creates perfectly balanced bathing pools.

The baths: Krauma features six pools in total – five warm geothermal pools and one cold plunge pool. Pool temperatures range from approximately 37–41°C, while the cold pool offers a refreshing contrast at around 5–10°C.

Pure and chemical-free: No additional chemicals are needed to keep the pools clean, as the water is continuously renewed thanks to the powerful natural flow of the hot spring.

Changing facilities: The changing rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a separate locker for every guest, large mirrors, and good lighting.

Relaxation room & wellness: Guests can unwind in the relaxation room with soothing music and a crackling fireplace. Krauma also offers two saunas, an infrared cell, and a steam bath, providing a wide range of wellness benefits.

Restaurant: Krauma Restaurant serves Icelandic cuisine made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant seats guests both indoors and on an outdoor terrace, with views over Deildartunguhver.
