Morning departure: The day begins with an early departure from Reykjavík as you travel along Iceland’s scenic South Coast, passing lava fields, farmlands, and sweeping coastal views.
South Coast highlights: Along the route, the tour stops at two of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Here you can experience the power of glacial rivers as they plunge over dramatic cliffs, surrounded by lush scenery and volcanic rock.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon: The journey continues east toward Jökulsárlón, Iceland’s most iconic glacial lagoon. Massive icebergs break off from Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and drift slowly across the lagoon, creating a constantly changing landscape of blue and white ice.
Diamond Beach: Just across the road from the lagoon, you visit Diamond Beach, where chunks of glacial ice wash ashore on the black sand beach. The contrast between crystal-clear ice and dark volcanic sand makes this one of Iceland’s most striking natural sights.
