Meeting & preparation: The tour starts at Mývatn Activity – Hike & Bike in Reykjahlíð, where you meet your guide and receive a short introduction to the hike.

Hiking through the Mývatn area: The hike takes you through green birch woodlands, lava fields, and dramatic geothermal terrain shaped by volcanic activity. Along the way, you explore fissures and caves while learning about the geology and natural forces of the region.

Grjótagjá & geothermal steam cave: During the hike, you visit the Grjótagjá caves, known from the Game of Thrones series, and continue to a geothermal cave traditionally used by locals for steam bathing.
