After meeting your certified glacier guide at Sólheimajökull Base Camp, you will be fitted with glacier equipment and introduced to the basics of walking safely on ice. Then it is time to follow your guide onto the glacier tongue, where white ice, blue ice, deep crevasses and sculpted ice formations create a landscape that feels completely different from the world below.
